    Creative Thinking Graphic
  • About

  • Background

It's not only big business and government that can respond to the challenge of climate change. After all, there are nearly 5 million small to medium sized businesses in the UK who are smart, quick and full of ideas. When thinking about climate change most of these small businesses think about reducing their own carbon output. No one would argue this isn’t important but it must be all about compliance and cost?

So what’s stopping them? It’s probably not expertise, market understanding of entrepreneurial spirit, but could it be money?

Finding financial support without providing at least some form of guarantees can be very hard for smaller businesses.

This is where Shell Springboard can help. The Programme provides a financial boost to a small number of compelling business ideas from across the UK that address climate change. If only one develops to its full potential, who knows the difference it could make? A wide range of businesses have been supported through the programme. They are now all on a journey which will see them develop their ideas further, bring new products to market, increase their profit margins but most importantly help reduce greenhouse gases.

The criteria for those businesses which apply are very simple. Applications will be considered if the product or service will lead to a reduction in greenhouse gas emissions, is commercially viable and is innovative.

Do you have a good idea that just needs a financial boost? Then why not apply and inspire us?

Shell Springboard is now closed to applications.
